Friendly staff, good location near the shops and beach.
Noisy roundabout at front of hotel means there is a lot of traffic noise.
Its location to the city centre and beach. Free on site parking was welcome
The standard of decor in the room was shabby with peeling wall paper and a down market feel. The room was small and it was a squeeze to get into bed.
The location which is just minutes away from the beach and the size of the room are the 2 only reasons why I like this hotel.
1. My family don't like the smell of the room. It smells old and damp. (Room 551). 2. The room's size is excellent but the interior design from bedroom sheets to curtains and the facility in our room from hair dryer to toilet is very outdated. It needs total redesigning to make it more up to date. My son even cried because he wanted to go home. I just don't feel the total look of our room. 3. The shower is not working. It would take me almost an hour to do my shower becuase the hot water is not working. 4. The cleaning is awful. I intentionally drop chocolate cookies on the bed but when we came back later on that day, its still there! 5. They should put another lock inside the room. It is just not secure enough. 6. The towels are rough
The room was not very clean,it was also very small.Came home a day early as a result, did not feel comfortable here.
wife shopped in Bourenmouth, I played sport locally
the staff was nice, the bed was very comfy and i did not want to get out of it, the tv new and good, i thought the show could do with a refit and make the water faster as it runs really slow and soft, and breakfast was not all that, i did not enjoy it, but drinks at the bar are cheap which i liked and the room and stuff were really good
It was ok I really enjoyed the breakfast. My room was badly located I got woke up 1 morn at 4 am by a stag party but in fairness when I went out to complain they went. Rooms are poor for noise. Gd location facilities not great pool was lot smaller than looked on site. Very friendly and helpful staff a big plus
Good location with easy walking distance of The Pavillion, shops and beach. Good value for money - decent size double room with double and single bed, tea making facilities and breakfast good.
Hotel a bit run down and needs some redecoration. Shower poor -could not have washed my hair as it would have taken half an hour to get the shampoo out!
Location, pool complex
Hotel generally not in good condition it gave a very jaded and poor impression, the room had ripped curtains and the ceilling was stained from a leak. The restaraunt was poor the food being below the standard I would expect. Ordering a bottle of white wine at £14 being then served unchilled was disapointing to say the least. The food although of good quality was poorly presented and rushed, with three courses and coffee start to finish in just thirty minutes.
The evening entertainment was lively ,good natured and good fun for the not so young, but young at heart.breakfast was sufficient.
It was in need of an up-date, especially the room, but then...the rate was very reasonable...and this should not be taken as a complaint, just an observation.
near the beach and the event where my daughter wasclean in
clean comfortable and good value for money
We like best staying in jacousy, swimminig pool. The breakfeast was great too.
Noise from the roundabout and the area of swimming pool should be clean often.
The restaurant was very very good both with service and food quality
The decor is very dated and net curtains were ripped The leisure centre was good but could have been cleaner and locker room was not clean with lockers in disrepair.
Having the opportunity to eat in either the Restaurant or the bar - food very good in both, (but much cheaper for the same menu in the bar) As the weather was not the best this year, this was an excellent way to eat without going out. We used the hotel as a starting point for many visits in the locale - friends in Christchurch, visit to Corfe Castle and visit to Swanage. We noticed that the hotel has a very wide variety of visitors, who all got along well. Especially enjoyed the Jazz evening - our king of music !!
The noise of the traffic at night on the first night was rather alarming, but later realised that it was a Saturday - after which the nights were very quiet and did not have any more problems - makes mental note "not to book on a Saturday night" !!
Pool and spa area was nice to use and was not busy at all
Arrived earlier for check in but told room wouldn't be available till 2 o'clock.returned at 2 o,clock and was told room still not ready and would have to wait in bar and would be told when ready. Went to reception at 3 and was told room now ready?
